Summer’s Lifeguard- a Central Line/Port Wrap is a medical garment to be worn by young critically-ill or chronically-ill children with a central venous catheter (CVC) or portacath.
- Summer's Lifeguard, is a soft, comfortable garment, made of 100% cotton which supports the tubes from the surgical site of the central venous catheter by wrapping the lines around the chest, providing comfort to the child.
- The wrap hides the central venous catheter tubes from the child and prevents tampering which could lead to complications or additional unnecessary surgeries.
- The wrap provides easy access to the catheter lumens for administration of medicine.
- Color-coded tabs on the wrap match the lumens of the catheter for easy identification
by hospital staff and care givers.
- The hook and loop Velcro closures provide for easy adjustment and perfect,
comfortable fit.
- Padded back provides comfort and back flap covers the ports to reduce tampering.
- Unique design accommodates the placement of the central line anywhere
across the chest.
